We also perform less common procedures and emergency surgeries such as urinary blockages, perineal urethrostomies, foreign body exploratories, and some orthopedics.
We also reluctantly perform declaws if there are no other options (whether there is a health issue with the owner or all other behavioural modifications and alternatives have been exhausted). Your cat will receive an abundant amount of pain medications for at least 2 weeks to prevent chronic and debilitating pain.
Patients undergoing surgery are carefully monitored by one of our Registered Veterinary Technicians before, during and following the procedure to ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
All surgical patients receive IV fluids, pain medication, heating, blanket, close monitoring of vitals, blood pressure and body temperature to protect organs during anesthetic and to help with recovery.
You will receive verbal instructions as well as home care instructions to take home.
